Things to know before you come to the Ilfracombe Princess

The Ilfracombe Princess is a great way to explore the North Devon coastline and a wonderful day out for all the family. Before you come, there are a few things you should know to make sure you have the best experience possible. 

From what to bring to what facilities are available, here’s everything you need to know before coming to the Ilfracombe Princess.

Accessibility

Our Big Yellow Boat can be an exciting and fun way to explore, but unfortunately, we are not accessible for those with wheelchairs. For this reason, it is important to consider whether a boat trip is suitable for someone in a wheelchair before booking your trip.

Weather

We will still operate on rainy days.  Our trained crew will decide if the sea conditions are safe to operate.  Rain does not class as unsafe conditions and will not cause us to cancel.  Please dress appropriately.  If our trip is still going ahead and you decide not to travel you will not receive a refund or be eligible for a transfer. 

We will contact you if we need to cancel via e-mail and telephone, usually the day before, however even when looking at 4 different forecasts it is still sometimes hard to predict, so we may leave it until the morning.   Please note - we do not enjoy cancelling any trip,  it is not something we do without very careful consideration.   We do share in your disappointment, decisions are made on safety and our customer enjoyment. 

Refunds

A full refund will be given in the unfortunate event of ICC cancelling a trip due to bad weather.

All bookings are non-transferable, Only in extenuating circumstances will bookings be considered for transfer and where at least a minimum of 48 hours notice of request is given via email to info@ilfracombeprincess.co.uk

If you have to cancel your booking and require a refund we require a minimum of 7 days notice, less than 7 days will be deemed as short notice. There will be up to a 15% cancellation fee applied.

Facilities on board

There are plenty of amenities available to make your journey enjoyable including:

• Fully stocked bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks
• Toilets
• Sick bags

Are dogs allowed onboard?

We welcome dogs on onboard but we do ask that they are on the lower deck only.
