The Broadsands Sessions have been one of the highlights of the Ilfracombe summer calendar in 2026, and with three events remaining in August the season is not over yet. If you have been meaning to book since we announced the lineup in May, this is the moment to act: the August events are the most popular of the series and availability is limited.
The Remaining Dates
1 August: Jazz Mango
Jazz Mango bring an infectious blend of jazz, soul, and funk to the upper deck of the Ilfracombe Princess for the first August event. This is one of the most anticipated performances of the season. The combination of Jazz Mango’s groove-driven sound and the backdrop of the North Devon coast at golden hour is a genuinely irresistible prospect.
15 August: Such and Vincent
Such and Vincent bring a more intimate, acoustic-led sound to the 15 August sailing. Their style suits the particular atmosphere of the Princess at dusk: the evening light on the Exmoor coast cliffs, the boat at cruise speed, and music that sits perfectly between a performance and a conversation.
29 August: Suttlebutt Shanty Crew
The season finale on 29 August belongs to the Suttlebutt Shanty Crew, and it is hard to think of a better note to end on. Sea shanties performed live on a working vessel, heading to Broadsands Beach in the last light of the August bank holiday weekend, is precisely the kind of experience that the Broadsands Sessions were created to deliver. This event will sell out.
What the Evening Involves
The Ilfracombe Princess departs from Ilfracombe harbour in the early evening and sails to Broadsands Beach and back along the North Devon coastline, with the artist performing throughout. The trip lasts approximately two hours. Drinks are available to purchase on board. The upper deck is open and the lower deck is enclosed and comfortable for those who prefer shelter.
The dress code is relaxed but bring a warm layer regardless of how the afternoon has felt. The coast is noticeably cooler once the sun drops and the boat is moving.

All three August events have availability but this is changing daily as the season progresses. We strongly recommend booking rather than leaving it until you arrive in Ilfracombe.
